Most lawsuits do not go to trial.  They are settled out of court.  For those that know that, they can take advantage.  Take a family-owned restaurant in Southern California for example. Ron Piazza was sued for a mirror that was two inches too high for the disability regulations and standards.[1] It does not matter whether Mr. Piazza will win his lawsuit or settle.  He has already lost by having to defend its reputation and spend money on legal fees.
